Holding Spots

       Waiting List

The waiting list is a list of parents who are interested in a future
opening at Doodlebug Daycare.  When a spot that doesn't have a
holding deposit on it becomes open, I start calling parents on the
waiting list to see if they are interested in having a parent
interview or want to continue on the waiting list for a later
opening.  If care is not immediately needed when an opening
becomes available, the holding spots information below applies.

To get on the waiting list either call or email:  your name, phone
number, and the month/year you will be needing care.

       Holding Spots

Many parents start searching for care weeks even months before
actually needing care.

Each spot in my daycare equals 1/4 of my income.  Consider how
losing 25% of your income for weeks or months would financially
hurt your family.

I can not afford to hold spots for free or to turn away potential
families unless I know for sure the spot is filled.   The holding
deposit is how I determine a spot is truly filled
when a family is
not needing immediate care.

Even though my family relies on my income, I don't think it is
reasonable to ask parents to pay full rate to hold a spot.
However, I do consider splitting the hardship of holding a spot
50/50 with the parents to be fair for both parties.

      All holding deposits are non-refundable.

    Holding deposits do
not go toward future childcare
    expenses.

The deposit does guarantee your child a spot in the daycare.

The holding deposit costs half the full-time rate
    ($80 per/week)
